Jason Kelce will be announcing whether he will be joining ESPN or WWE Soon…. Fans REACTS Massively – WWE will be a very wrong move… Not sure his WILD antics will be suitable for ESPN…
Jason Kelce reportedly has a new post-football option on the table following his surprise appearance at WrestleMania 40 over the weekend.
Kelce, who called time on his legendary NFL career last month, stunned fans when he and former Philadelphia Eagles teammate Lane Johnson enjoyed cameo roles at WWE’s flagship event on Saturday night.
The pair, wearing Eagles-inspired Mexican wrestling masks, emerged from the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field and ambushed Dom Mysterio to prevent him from using a chair against his father, Rey, in their tag-team match with respective partners Santos Escobar and Andrade.
Rey and Andrade were able to secure the victory as a result of their intervention, before Kelce and Johnson celebrated with them in the ring after taking off their masks to reveal their identities.
And according to TMZ Sports, Kelce’s appearance was such a hit with fans that WWE bosses are ready to welcome him back ‘with open arms’.
Triple H’s organization gave a resounding ‘yes’ when asked if they would be open to further opportunities with the former Eagles center, meaning that may not be the last we see of Kelce in a wrestling ring.
Last month, WWE star The Miz claimed Jason could be ‘very dangerous’ in the sport while even offering to train him himself.
Speaking to TMZ, he said: ‘He could be very dangerous in a WWE ring – not only with just the athleticism and the part of the wrestling, which I think he can absolutely do.
‘I watched him jump up at a Bills game from, like, down and jump up into a window, and I was like, “Oh my God, this guy is 300 pounds, how did he do that? That’s incredible.”‘
Kelce brought the curtain down on his 13-year stint in Philadelphia at the start of March after announcing his retirement from football, bringing an end to one of the most storied careers in Eagles history.
The 36-year-old has several potential new ventures available following his retirement, with the likes of ESPN, Fox and Amazon Prime reportedly battling it out to sign him up as an analyst for the 2024 NFL season.
Jason and brother Travis have also hinted at a world tour for their New Heights podcast in recent months, while a coaching role in Philadelphia may be an option should he decide to remain in the game.
And following his popular WrestleMania cameo on Saturday, Kelce can add WWE to that list
