NFL star Jonathan Owens gushes over wife Simone Biles in heartwarming Valentine’s Day post two years on from engagement to the Olympic gymnast: ‘You’re my rock’
Green Bay Packers star Jonathan Owens paid tribute to wife Simone Biles with a heartwarming post on Valentine’s Day – which marked two years since their engagement.
Owens proposed to Biles, a four-time Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics, on Valentine’s Day back in 2022, before the couple tied the knot in an intimate Texas wedding just over a year later. They also held another lavish ceremony in Mexico shortly after.
Two years on from the day he got down on one knee, the Packers safety gushed over his wife in a post on Instagram , describing her as his ‘rock’ alongside photos of his proposal.
‘Happy Valentine’s Day to my best friend,’ Owens wrote. ‘I can’t believe that it’s been 2 years since this amazing day, man does time fly.
‘You’re my rock, I feel like I can accomplish anything as long as I have you by my side.
‘So excited to see where life takes us, I love you so much baby’.
‘I love you more than ever baby,’ Biles replied. ‘Best decision ever.’
Biles and Owens recently gave fans another sneak peek at their new waterfront Texas mansion amid its ongoing construction.
The couple currently lives in a reported $2million home in Houston but started construction on their dream property back in August.
They have been giving intermittent updates while also sharing their frustration at the building process.
The latest Instagram posts by Biles were encouraging, with Owens seen standing in grand entranceway with his arms outstretched to give a sense of the enormity of the project.
There are other shots as well showing Owens on the roof overlooking the waterfront and another area of the residence.
Owens shared a glimpse of her massive new walk-in closet in another post, writing: ‘I. AM. OBSESSED.’
‘I’ll never run out of room for clothes,’ added the 4-foot-8 gymnastics legend.
Not everything with the project has been so enjoyable.
Without getting into specifics, Biles shared her frustration in a November post.
‘Yesterday I was here from 11am-5pm…,’ she wrote alongside some footage showing the ceilings and walls. ‘I thought it was going to be a 30 minute thing bc I had no clue what I was walking into.’
In another post from that day, she pictured herself alongside the caption: ‘Me confused as fck.’
Back in March, Simone announced that construction had begun on the site, writing alongside a photo of her and Owens: ‘a home is made with love & dreams … cheers to breaking ground.’
