I’m getting old and I have more to lose’ – Simone Biles reveals future plans with Husband Jonathan Owens
Gold Olympic medalist Simone Biles and her NFL player husband Jonathan Owens recently shared updates on the construction of their massive new Texas home.
Biles and Owens currently live in Houston but have been working on the construction of their “dream” home in an unspecified area of Texas, with the gymnast taking to her Instagram stories to share updates on the construction progress since September 2023.
Three of the photos show her husband, who plays safety for the Green Bay Packers standing amid the structure with construction in progress in the background.
The first photo showed Owens standing at the entrance of their future home with his hands outstretched. A second picture showed Owens standing far from the camera and giving a wave. Another showed the NFL player on the roof of the structure, overlooking a lake, which is sure to be a stunning view once the house is finished.
Biles has been working on the project since December 2022, when she first posted to her stories a picture of tile samples for the house. Since then she’s been documenting the lot clearing which started in February 2023, and the building of the foundation, culminating in the foundation pour in June of 2023.
From there the couple’s construction crew has been making steadfast progress, building out the structure of the house with its high ceilings, big windows, and wide sliding glass doors.
In an update this month, Biles gushed about the progress, giving her followers a glimpse into the crew finishing the stucco and starting on adding a beautiful white stone, which the gymnast said was “EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!”
Biles also shared photos and videos updating on the progress of her kitchen, showing that wood cabinets and drawers have been installed and are helping her start to visualize the room. In another photo, she updated us on the progress of her new walk-in closet, where she wrote: “I. AM. OBSESSED.”
“I’ll never run out of room for clothes,” she added in another post.
