‘I AM OBSESSED’: Simone Biles shares new details on home
Iconic Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles is keeping her fans updated as she works on building her dream home.
The updates flow in every few weeks, dedicated to details on the build going back to December 2022. From lot clearing in February 2023 to foundation pouring in June, fans have been able to watch as the Texas home comes to life through the Olympians’ Instagram stories and posts.
“I. AM. OBSESSED,” the Olympian posted to her Instagram story this month over a video showing the unfinished and expansive woodwork in what will be her closet. “I’ll never run out of room for clothes.”
The Olympian has not been shy about sharing the waterfront view or glimpses of stucco and stone on the outside of the house that she is building with her husband, NFL football safety Jonathan Owens.
“(T)his stone is EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!” She posted to her story Feb. 11 alongside an image of the unfinished home.
The kitchen was also part of her recent update, featuring wood cabinets and a large window. Based on posts, the home seems to have plenty of open space and high ceilings.
The process has been tricky. In a November update, she told fans that she spent six hours at the home one day after the couple ran into difficulties. She also posted a picture of yellow staining appearing to run along the grout.
“I cannot deal anymore,” she wrote in a post to her story alongside six angry emojis.
It is unclear when the home will be finished and where in Texas the home is located.
