CELEBRITY
Travis Kelce spent $33.3k on dresses & bags from top English designers for Taylor Swift to celebrate London tour dates… What did he buy that was so EXPENSIVE?
TRAVIS Kelce was having the time of his life in London.
The Kansas City Chiefs star was seen dancing the night away as girlfriend Taylor Swift played three sell-out shows at Wembley Stadium in front of her ever-delirious fans.
He even ended up on stage in a top hat and tails.
SERIOUS SPLURGE
But The U.S. Sun can reveal the reason for a real spring in his step was the stylish shopping spree he embarked on for Taylor when in the English capital.
We revealed last month how the 34 year-old fashionista shopped until he dropped in Paris, splashing a cool $80,000 in a bunch of designer stores.
The U.S. Sun also detailed how Taylor was treated ahead of the start of her worldwide tour, following the release of her latest album and, of course, on Valentine’s day.Travis went back to Kansas to start prepping for the NFL season, but headed back across the pond last week to catch the Cruel Summer star strut her stuff as her blockbuster Eras tour continues.
INSPIRED CHOICES
The tenacious tight end, however, couldn’t resist hitting the shops – and showered his girl to some luxury gifts.
A source close to the three time Super Bowl winning star told The U.S. Sun he had “done his homework” upon returning to the city he visited while playing for the Chiefs a few years back.
Travis made a beeline for iconic women’s fashion brands like Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood, and spent an absolute fortune in the process.
“He knows Taylor loves fashion” the source said. “In fact, their shared love for style means they are match made in heaven.”
With Taylor attending a number of Kansas NFL games last year, the superstar tight-end had that firmly in mind as he headed to Burberry.
He shelled out $3,600 on a stylish wool trench coat to keep her warm as the temperatures plummet, described on the official website as “a relaxed fit with exaggerated epaulettes and raglan sleeves inspired by our heritage styles.”
To finish off the winter look, Taylor was gifted a $2,790 messenger bag made in Italy from “soft calf leather with a smooth finish.”
Travis also opted for a $4,900 quilted bag crafted from “puffy nappa leather with a chain strap.”
CLASSY CHOICES
From there, he popped up at legendary English designer store Vivienne Westwood where two sleek, classy numbers were snapped up for a combined total of $3,500.
The first one – a Long Panther dress – is described on the official website as a ” signature silhouette secured with an invisible zip fastening at the back and features a classic scoop neckline and an asymmetrically gathered skirt, signature to Vivienne Westwood’s designs.”
That was accompanied by a similarly looking pencil dress, costing $1,600.
“The sleeveless Ginnie Pencil dress returns for the new season in black viscose. The style features a classic silhouette with a scoop neckline and drape detailing,” gushed the description.
Travis then finished off his generous, thoughtful splurge on four different creations by star English designer Stella McCartney.
A plunging neckline dress number covered in all-over lead-free crystal embroidery, which according to the designer, “almost hypnotically enhances the wearer’s shapes and curves.”
“This season, I wanted to see the world from a bird’s eye view, with contrasting shapes and silhouettes that reference both architectural and sculptural shapes, as well as more fluid and organic ones,” explained the daughter of Beatles icon Paul McCartney of the $6,200 piece.
“Almost as if flying over a city and then the countryside.”
A $2,500 jumpsuit crafted from a blend of organic cotton and silk, which also has a chain-embellished V-neck and “effortlessly modern open-back, wide-leg outline.”
LONDON STYLE
The most expensive purchase came in the shape of a $7,300, paneled waist Taffeta Midi dress, perfect for the next time the superstar singer attends a glitzy engagement.
“Made from plumes of bouncy taffeta as a cruelty-free take on feathers, this midi dress creates a linear, dramatic silhouette that moves with every stride,” drooled the official description.
“Flatteringly cinched by a lustrous satin-paneled waistband, it’s best paired with stiletto heels and a red carpet.”
And that little lot was finished off with a classy looking jump suit tote costing $2,500 and an ethically appropriate tote bag.
“Consciously crafted from recycled polyester satin and embroidered with a sparkling, lead-free crystal fringe that glistens with even the slightest movement, this iconic Falabella tote bag is one of our most coveted vegan icons,” said the product explanation.
“Characterized by its hand-laced, heavyweight diamond-cut chain outline and handles, stow away your phone as well as daily necessities.”
“Travis decided to go with some outfits for her to wear when they will go on dates, like dresses, or just when they go on brunch,” added the insider.
“He knows Taylor loves the London style.”
