What can’t Travis Kelce do?!
The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end posted a video on his TikTok on Monday, June 10, showing off his latest skill — powerwashing!
Kelce pulled up to Club Car Wash, an express tunnel car wash chain he became a partial owner of in 2021, to spend time with the staff and help out with washing cars.
“Get your ride looking right for the summer at Club Car Wash,” Kelce wrote in the caption of his video. “They trained me well,” he added.
Kelce sports the official uniform of khaki pants and a black polo shirt in the fun video, which shows the NFL star high-fiving a fellow car wash employee before he heads out to the washing station.
The Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? host seemed to be having a blast as he cleaned the cars. In one shot from Kelce’s car wash shift, he’s thrusting with the powerwasher while the song “Work” by ATEEZ plays.
Kelce, through his Eighty-Seven and Running Foundation, joined the Club Car Wash ownership team in April 2021, according to the company.
“After learning about the trajectory of the industry and knowing my partners have significant knowledge and experience in the space, I thought Club Car Wash was a fantastic opportunity, and I’m excited to be onboard,” Kelce said in a release at the time.
In a video on TikTok from December, the tight end said he’s proud to work with the car wash because of the “premium product” they provide, but “some of the biggest success we’ve had is supporting and fundraising in the local communities that we’ve joined.”
“That’s a huge aspect that reeled me in,” Kelce added.
According to the company, they have over 160 locations currently up and running.
When Kelce’s investment into Club Car Wash was announced, CEO Rollie Bartels said, “We are excited to work with Travis Kelce and his foundation, Eighty-Seven and Running. We truly believe in their mission and look forward to the impact we can make together,” in a release.
Just before Kelce and the Chiefs played (and won) in the 2024 Super Bowl in February, Club Car Wash celebrated their partial owner by making a generous donation to Eighty-Seven and Running. For a full week before the big game, the car wash made a donation to Kelce’s foundation for every new membership purchased.
The effort raised $42,301, according to the company.
After the donation, Kelce said he was “so grateful” to Club Car Wash “for the ongoing support of the Eighty-Seven and Running organization,” in a statement. “Each dollar raised from this campaign will go directly towards initiatives that will provide kids in the community with resources and opportunities to reach their full potential,” the NFL star said at the time.
