Travis Kelce Claims He Was Threatened and was under close surveillance by the White House Secret Service… Read Full Story!
Travis Kelce finally got his moment to shine at the White House podium thanks to the Kansas City Chiefs winning their second consecutive Super Bowl.
After winning the Super Bowl in 2023, Kelce tried to rush the podium to get a few words out, but was cut off by Patrick Mahomes. This time around, Kelce received an invite from President Joe Biden to say a few words.
The star tight end was a bit nervous, though, and decided to cut his speech short – and for good reason. During the latest ‘New Heights’ podcast episode, Kelce revealed Secret Service agents threatened to tase him.
“When I walked in, we had about four or five Secret Service members come up to me and tell me, ‘You know if you go up to that podium we’re authorized to tase you,'” Kelce said.
Kelce said that’s why he cut his podium moment short.
“That’s all that was going through my head. I had no idea that President Biden was going to ask me to come up and let me have my moment. I had no idea…I felt taser aimed at me when I was up there the whole time,” he added.
Kelce made the right choice to respect the Secret Service’s wishes, even if they probably wouldn’t have actually tased the future Hall of Fame tight end.
