Kansas City heiress Gracie Hunt says having ‘talented’ Taylor Swift be part of Chiefs Kingdom is ‘special’ as she attends the NFL Honors with her owner dad Clark and mom Tavia
Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt’s daughter described tight end Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift as a member of ‘Chiefs Kingdom,’ during the NFL Honors.
The Hunt family – owner Clark, wife Tavia and eldest daughter Gracie – walked the red carpet at the NFL Honors in las Vegas Thursday ahead of their team’s Super bowl appearance this weekend.
While discussing the Chiefs making back-to-back Super Bowls the Hunt family was asked if they met Swift with Gracie replying: ‘She’s bright, beautiful, and so talented. And we actually got to go attend her Eras Tour concert this summer and having her as a part of Chiefs Kingdom has been so special.’
The Hunts were not the only ones with Swift on the brain during the show as NFL Honors host Keegan-Michael Key cracked a few jokes involving the popstar during his opening monologue.
All three members of the family gave a nod to Chiefs Kingdom with their attire on Thursday night.
Tavia looked glamorous in a midi red dress with a keyhole cut out, pairing it with a silver clutch and court shoes. Her husband matched her with a Chiefs red tie.
Meanwhile, Kansas City heiress Gracie dazzled in a form-fitting, silver sequined, knee-length dress. She repped her team with a bold red lip which she described as ‘that red lip classic thing you like’, referring to a lyric from Swift’s hit ‘Style’.
The Hunts weren’t the only ones discussing the singer as host Keegan-Michael Key referred to Swift in his opening monologue.
First, Key made fun of the NFL’s worst team by referring to Swift’s Eras Tour before unloading on former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick with a mention of the popstar.
‘Taylor Swift is in Tokyo right now. The only thing farther from the Super Bowl is the Carolina Panthers,’ Key joked.
‘Who would’ve thought we’d see a season where Taylor Swift went to more playoff games than Bill Belichick?’ Key added, getting huge laughs from the crowd.
The question now on the minds of all Swift fans is whether she will be able to make it back from her concert in Japan to be in the stands for the Super Bowl.
A recent rumor from former NFL quarterback turned radio host Boomer Esiason said that Swift’s management will ask the NFL to pay for the 14-time Grammy winner’s jet from Japan to Las Vegas and her private luxury box.
‘You gotta know that her people are in touch with the NFL. And her people are probably saying, “If you want her at the game, you gotta pay for the jet coming back from Tokyo. And she needs her own suite,”‘ Esiason said on his radio show this week.
‘I’m telling you, man. This is business, man. This is all about business. How many times are we, CBS, going to show her? And are we going to show an arrival shot?’ Esiason asked.
‘What’s interesting is if the NFL does pay for all of this stuff, you know, it could be like “OK we’ll take care all of that but we want to be able to shoot you as you get to the stadium, whatever,”‘ Esiason added.
