Jason Kelce will be joining Travis Kelce at this year’s American Century Championship
Travis Kelce, who has become a staple at Edgewood Tahoe’s annual American Century Championship, will be joined by his brother, Jason, at this year’s event.
Jason Kelce, a seven-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion, is among the 88 players committed to this year’s event, the tournament announced during Monday’s media day.
It will mark the older Kelce’s first appearance at the Super Bowl of celebrity golf tournaments after he recently retired from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Other first-time players include the MLB legends Alex Rodriguez and Albert Pujols; NHL players Matthew Tkachuk and John Carlson; Today Show host Carson Daly; NFL quarterbacks Trevor Lawrence and Joe Flacco; six-time NBA All-Star Blake Griffin; former host of The Bachelor Chris Harrison; actor Rob McElhenney; former NBA forward Chandler Parsons; NBA player Austin Reeves; and former soccer star Taylor Twellman.
Travis Kelce has been one of the top draws in recent American Century Championship events and has only seen his popularity grow over the last year as he’s begun dating pop superstar Taylor Swift.
“Taylor Swift will be performing her summer concert tour in Europe at that time, so do not ask me that question,” Phil Weidinger, who heads the ACC’s public relations, joked about her potentially making an appearance in Tahoe this summer.
Kelce’s star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, is not currently on the list of celebrities who have committed to play in this year’s event. Defending champion Steph Curry will not defend his title as he participates in this year’s Summer Olympics with Team USA.
This year’s American Century Championship will run from July 12-14.
