Taylor Swift Hits With Ugly Scandal Amid Eras Tour in Tokyo and Perfect Romance With Travis Kelce “How will she react to this?..”
Taylor Swift has decided to do what she always does when hit with adversity: she fights back.
In the midst of her highly successful Eras Tour and romantic bliss with boyfriend Travis Kelce, the singer has been hit with a horrific scandal involving a series of disgusting photos.
In the past few days, the pop singer has been trending on multiple social media outlets, including Twitter and Instagram, after a website posted a series of NSFW photos that were AI-generated.
The despicable and graphic pictures that will not be posted on this website show the AI version of Swift in an array of compromising positions.
Media outlets and fans were enraged and demanded that the site be shut down, which is what eventually happened.
One of the trolls, who launched the attack on Swift with the doctored photos, shamelessly took to Twitter to celebrate his horrible act by saying: “My Taylor post went viral, and now everyone is posting it. Bro, what have I done… They might pass new laws because of my Taylor Swift post. If Netflix did a documentary about AI pics they’d put me in it as a villain. It’s never been so over.”
The troll later made his account private. The user was also doxxed by a group of angry Swifties who had banded together.
The situation warranted an official government response, via the White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre. She stated the condition was “alarming; of course, Congress should take legislative action.”
Sources close to Taylor Swift spoke to The Daily Mail, revealing that she is weighing her options and plans to take legal action.
A person close to the artist said: “Whether legal action will be taken is being decided, but there is one thing that is clear: These fake, AI-generated images are abusive, offensive, exploitative, and done without Taylor’s consent and/or knowledge. The Twitter account that posted them does not exist anymore. It is shocking that the social media platform even let them be up to begin with.”
The fuming source added: “Legislation needs to be passed to prevent this, and laws must be enacted.”
Due to the drama, Taylor Swift’s name had been suspended for search on Twitter (now X). Regarding the decision to block searches for Taylor Swift, X head of business operations Joe Benarroch said in a statement to The Wall Street Journal: “This is a temporary action and done with an abundance of caution as we prioritize safety on this issue.”
Another statement was issued, explaining that the site is working to remove the inappropriate photos.
The statement said: “Our teams are actively removing all identified images and taking appropriate actions against the accounts responsible for posting them. We’re closely monitoring the situation to ensure that any further violations are immediately addressed, and the content is removed. We’re committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all users.”
Some observers say it is unfortunate that powerful entities waited on the Swift incident before properly tackling this issue.
