Travis Kelce bought a vineyard worth $5 Million in Italy for mom Donna’ – amid reports the Chiefs star is looking to expand his business portfolio ahead of NFL retirement
Travis Kelce is reportedly looking to take his business ventures across the Atlantic.
A source close to the Kansas City Chiefs player claimed the tight end is looking to purchase a winery in northern Italy with his mother, Donna Kelce.
‘Travis is always looking to diversify his portfolio of investments,’ an insider told the US Sun on Wednesday.
‘On his next trip to Italy Donna will probably go with him. She dreams of being involved in the wine industry and that’s why Travis is pushing ahead with this. He wants to make her happy,’ they added.
The outlet reported that Travis and his advisors ‘have been seeking out key players in the wine industry with the view of starting their own business.’
The source explained that the three-time Super Bowl champ was ‘stunned’ by the ‘landscape, culture and beauty’ of the Italian countryside during a recent trip to visit his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, amid the European leg of her Eras Tour.
The athlete’s team has been ‘in negotiations with many owners and investors’ and a figure of around $3.5million has been floated.
‘Many people in the industry have been talking to them and would love to be business partners with the Kelce family,’ the source went on.
‘They see just how famous Travis has become, being one of the faces in the NFL and Taylor becoming the most famous singer in the world.’
Travis recently inked a new, two-year deal with Kansas City – making him the highest paid tight end in the league – and he has his sights set on securing a third consecutive Super Bowl ring.
He and his teammates were finally presented with their Super Bowl LVIII rings at a lavish ceremony Thursday night, and Travis couldn’t stop smiling when he added the bling to his finger.
This year’s ring, which was made by Jostens, contains 529 diamonds apiece — 505 round diamonds, 19 baguette diamonds and five marquise diamonds — along with 38 rubies in the team’s signature color.
Chiefs President Mark Donovan said, ‘This incredible piece of wearable art is a true symbol of the journey that the team took to secure the franchise’s fourth Lombardi Trophy, and we couldn’t be prouder to represent Chiefs Kingdom as champions once again.’
The Catching Kelce alum arrived at the swanky ceremony looking red hot, opting for a bold all-red suit with a ‘TK’ chain around his neck.
‘Smooth operator baby,’ he was heard saying as he walked down the red carpet.
